Take it Away

Glutathione’s main purpose is to detoxify the body from bacteria, toxins and other harmful substances.

Glutathione S-transferases (GSTs) are enzymes responsible for the detoxification process of anesthetic agents.

This makes it a suitable and highly recommended supplement to take following a surgical procedure where anaesthesia is involved.

So, you’ve just had surgery, you’re feeling groggy and a little out of it. Here are our best tips on how to restore your body to optimal health, and how to flush out any anaesthesia left in your body.

There are four main types of anaesthesia – general, regional, local and sedation. It is used to manage pain and awareness during procedures. Anaesthesia is generally considered safe, however, it does have many side effects.

What are the possible side effects?

⬤  Nausea and vomiting

⬤  Delirium and confusion

⬤  Hair-loss or a loss of pigment in the hair

⬤  Sore throat

⬤  Shivering and feeling cold as well as muscle aches or itching

These side effects are often temporary, however, some can be long lasting.

What can I do to minimise the chances of these side effects and what can I do to flush out the anaesthesia quickly?

Aside from drinking plenty of water, (1-3 litres per day), take our Liposomal Glutathione and Vitamin C supplement daily – at least 10ml of each. Glutathione is your best friend if you’ve recently had surgery. It will not only completely flush out the anaesthesia from the body but it will also assist in your healing and recovery process.

Take no more than 10ml per day for optimal health and wellbeing. If you’d like to read up a little more on Glutathione and it’s benefits, feel free to browse through the Product Page.
